General adds 'Punch Daddy' family movies for Father's Day

General Cigar Company's Punch brand is about to release another dad-themed cigar, just in time for Father's Day.

Punch Dad Home Movies is a 6 x 50 case pressed Toro made with an Ecuadorian Habano wrapper, Nicaraguan binder and an in-house blend of tobacco grown in the Condega, Esteli and Ometepe growing regions of Nicaragua. It is produced in STG Danlí, Honduras.

Each cigar has a suggested retail price of $7.49 and is packaged in a 10-count box designed to look like a VHS tape and comes with a sleeve. They started shipping to stores yesterday.

“With the launch of Punch Dad Bod last Father’s Day, we knew we were onto something,” Punch brand manager John Hakim said in a press release. “It serves three purposes: It lets the dad in your life know you have Paying more attention to him opens the door for you to laugh at how old he is and gives you the opportunity to enjoy a great punch cigar with him while he reminisces.

In honor of last year's Father's Day, General launched the Dad Bod, measuring 4 1/2 x 60 Perfecto, made with Cameroon wrapper, Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper and fillers from Brazil, Dominican Republic, Honduras and Nicaragua. The cigars are packaged in a can that looks like a can of beer.
